The Mount Sentinel Performance and Media Academy (Academy PM) film festival Thinking In Colour takes place at The Capitol Theatre in Nelson at 7:00 p.m. on June 3 and 4.

The School District No. 8 (Kootenay Lake) Board of Education unanimously approved the annual budget for the 2024-2025 school year at its public meeting on the evening of May 14.

School District No. 8 (Kootenay Lake) announced the election by acclamation of a new chair and vice-chair of the Board of Education at the inaugural board meeting held in Nelson, B.C., on November 14. School Trustee Dawn Lang was elected uncontested as the new chair, moving into the role after serving one year as vice-chair.
